Rodney Boucher
Department of Hawai'i Junior Vice Commander - Navy

 Mr. Rodney Boucher was elected Junior Vice Commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States Department of Hawai'i on June 14, 2025 at the 87th VFW Department of Hawai'i Convention in Kilauea Military Camp on the Big Island of Hawai'i.

Rodney Boucher served in the United States Navy from 1976 to 2000 and retired as a Radio Master Chief (E-9). He earned his VFW eligibility by serving in the Submarines from 1980 to 1982 and again in 1989 to 1990 in support of Operation Just Cause.  He served with conventional and unconventional Units during his tenure. 

In recognition of his service in combat, he received the following: Combat Action Ribbon, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation medal (3), Joint Achievement Medal (2ea), Navy Expeditionary Medal (3), Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal.  Rodney was also Airborne/Freefall qualified with 89 logged jumps.

Rodney is a Past 2x All-American Post Commander of Post 12138 'Ewa Beach, which he joined in 2020 and maintains his Gold Legacy Life membership.  He strongly advocates for Veteran’s benefits, entitlements, and continues to build a working relationship with other Veteran Service Organizations.

He is married to Marlene and reside in Ewa Beach, Hawai'i.
