Randy Grant served in the United States Air Force from November 1983 through August 2009, retiring in the grade of Senior Master Sergeant. He earned his eligibility for the Veterans of Foreign Wars through overseas service, including a one-year tour at Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea, in 2002, where he earned the Korean Defense Service Medal, and service in Balad, Iraq, in 2007 during Operation Iraqi Freedom, where he earned the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal.

Comrade Grant has a long and dedicated record of service within the Veterans of Foreign Wars at the Post, District, Department, and National levels. His service includes:

• Department Commander, VFW Department of Hawaiʻi (2015–2016), earning All-American Department recognition.

• District Commander for the District of Japan, Department of the Pacific Areas, earning All-American District Commander honors.

• Department Judge Advocate for multiple terms.

• Post Quartermaster at several VFW Posts, serving multiple terms.

• National Committee Member for the VFW Iraq and Afghanistan Committee in 2011 and 2012.

• Numerous Department leadership assignments supporting membership, training, inspections, bylaws, youth programs, and organizational development.

Professionally, Randy is employed as a GG-13 federal civilian with the Defense Information Systems Agency in Hawaiʻi, serving as Chief of the Command Support Branch. He retired from the United States Air Force after more than 25 years of active-duty service and has continued his federal service supporting national defense, facilities management, logistics, security, and organizational leadership.

He is a member of VFW Post 3292 and remains active in veterans' programs, community service, and church leadership activities within Hawaiʻi.

Randy and his wife, Naomi, reside in Mililani, Hawaiʻi.
